| Descripción de la oferta: | The role of the Special Interest Research Editor is to research, write and load onto the Dow Jones Watchlist editorial interface accurate, high-quality profiles in English of individuals who meet Special Interest coverage criteria (“SIPs”). The editor is also required to update profiles when necessary and to ensure that volume targets are met. The editor is required to monitor relevant news from a portfolio of countries in order to identify individuals who meet Special Interest criteria. News monitoring is carried out through Dow Jones Factiva the SIP group’s main research tool, although other electronic and non-electronic published sources may be consulted in order to obtain biographical data. In extracting data from Dow Jones Factiva, the editor must adhere to a set of guidelines on SIP selection while having a thorough understanding of the non-SIP elements of the Dow Jones Watchlist database. The editor is responsible for verifying the accuracy of the material he/she and other team members add to the database and must follow an established set of procedures to do so. Key Responsibilities: • Research individuals who meet Special Interest Coverage criteria (SIPs) • Write high-quality profiles in English of SIPs • Proofread profiles in English of SIPs • Monitor relevant news from a portfolio of countries in order to identify individuals who meet Special Interest criteria • Update profiles when necessary • Respond to client queries Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required: • Ability to identify wholly with Dow Jones’s service obligations to its clients • Thorough understanding of issues relating to Special Interest categories • Research or editorial experience • Flexibility • Strong research skills • Good organisational and communication skills • Education to degree level • Keyboard skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office • Excellent proofreading skills • Ability to handle large volumes of information • Ability to work to deadlines • Ability to work as part of a team • Ability to accept feedback as a learning opportunity • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships • Positive outlook on change, self motivated, flexible and adaptable to work outside a traditional office environment • Fluent English is essential as the editor will be required to write profiles in this language • Fluency in or working knowledge of other languages desirable |
